Operative Laparoscopy – This is a method of removing uterine fibroids that requires for a very small incision to be made, typically in the navel so a camera can be inserted. Instruments used to remove the fibroids are then inserted through small incisions made under the pubic hairline. This is an outpatient procedure done in a hospital setting under general anesthesia and may not be suitable for the removal of all types of fibroids.
